A Record £63.5 million Invested into 146 Scottish Companies During 2016/17.

The Scottish Investment Bank have invested a record £63.5 million in to 146 Scottish Companies during 2016-2017. This is an increase of 23% from the year prior and demonstrates the SIB’s efforts to help meet the Scottish Government’s aim of increasing support to help companies raise and secure growth finance. NuCana Raised £75million Floating In Stock Market

NuCana, an Edinburgh-based medical firm has raised almost £75 million by floating on the stock market. NuCana develops techniques to boost the effectiveness of chemotherapy. Synpromics Announce Research Partnership with Solid Biosciences

GSK Unveils new Montrose facility

Pharmaceutical giant GSK has unveiled its £44 million vaccine production facility in Montrose. The site, which will produce ingredients for vaccines to treat conditions such as tetanus, pneumonia and whooping cough, has been five years in the making.
