Scotland has been selected as this year’s host nation for the Circular Economy Hotspot, a major international event to showcase our nation’s progressive approach to developing a circular economy. We will welcome the world’s leading decision-makers, trade representatives, investors and circular economy entrepreneurs, between the 30 October and 1 November 2018.
The unmissable programme will include inspiring sessions led by the world’s foremost names in circular economy policy and innovation: including Scottish Government’s Chief Economic Advisor, Gary Gillespie and leading social economist Katherine Trebeck, as well as interactive visits to pioneering Scottish businesses. In delivering the event, Zero Waste Scotland is working in partnership with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
The Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland is supported by funding from both the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund through the £73million Resource Efficiency Circular Economy Accelerator Programme.
This major event explores the strengths of industrial biotechnology in life sciences in Scotland adding to our country’s international reputation reflecting the cooperation and leadership coming from industry and Government. Read more about this here.
