The virtual ONE Life Sciences Network meeting, on 23 September, will explore the response to COVID-19 in north east Scotland with a focus on sector strengths in biologics and health data science.
Companies, academics, researchers and clinicians in Aberdeen are collaborating across multiple projects addressing COVID-19 related challenges. Businesses in the sector have also had to cope with disruption to their operations, funding, research and clinical trials.
The meeting, held via Zoom, will include presentations from sector leaders followed by Q&A, an update from Opportunity North East on action and investment in the sector, including the BioHub project, and virtual networking.
Prof Stephen Logan, Chair of the ONE Life Sciences sector board, will chair the meeting and our speakers, who will share their perspectives on and experiences of responding to coronavirus, are:
• Dr Deborah O’Neil, CEO, NovaBiotics
• Dr Caroline Barelle, CEO, Elasmogen
• Prof Corri Black, Co-director of the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science and Clinical Lead for the Grampian Data Safe Haven
