First Minister’s Plans to Focus on Science

Nicola Sturgeon MSP has highlighted the importance of life sciences and the precision medicine sector for Scotland’s future. Scotland’s First Minister explained the significance of the innovative work taking place in life sciences and it’s role in Scotland’s economy.

Currently producing a turnover of £4.3 billion and employing more than 37,000 people the government plan to engage with industry and academia to support the delivery of the ‘Life Sciences Strategy for Scotland’. They aim to grow the sectors turnover to £8billion by 2025
