Women’s & Children’s Health Innovation Portfolio – Deadline 13th December 2023

The Chief Scientist Office (CSO) are delighted to announce the launch of two exciting innovation challenges from the Women’s & Children’s Health Innovation Portfolio. The challenges are open for application on the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) website until 11am on 13th December 2023.

Near-patient Bilirubin Testing to enable Neonatal Care at Home Challenge

  • This is a Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition funded by the Scottish Government Chief Scientists Office, the Scottish Government Directorate for Children and Families and the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. The West of Scotland Innovation Hub are hosting this challenge on behalf of NHS Scotland.
  • The challenge is now open for application from this link until 11am on 13th December 2023.
  • The aim of this competition is to provide an opportunity for organisations working in partnership with NHS Scotland, to develop disruptive innovative solutions. These solutions will focus on near-patient bilirubin testing to develop innovative care pathways and enable family centred care at home for babies who do not require to be in hospital.
  • Applicants can apply for a share of a total challenge fund of £220,000.

Children and Young People Remote Asthma Management Challenge
