- Controlled Therapeutics Collaborates with CONRAD to Develop Vaginal Ring for Prevention of HIV Infection
- Controlled Therapeutics (Scotland) Ltd (CTS) today announced that it has initiated a development programme in partnership with CONRAD, a USA based not-for-profit product development organization. The programme will assess whether CTS' new polymer drug delivery system can be used in the form of a vaginal ring to deliver effective doses of microbicides for periods of up to three months, the aim being to prevent the transmission of HIV and other viral infections.

- NovaBiotics ready to out-licence fungal nail infection treatment
- Scottish biotechnology company Novabiotics has completed early trials of Novexatin, a treatment for fungal nail infection that is thought to affect around 12% of the world's populaiton.
