Connections
Scotland has one of the largest and fastest growing life science communities in Europe
It’s connected, cohesive and collaborative.
We’re home to over 600 organisations employing 30,500 people. Scotland also has 17,000 Life Sciences research staff, across 57 universities and research institutes.
Key stakeholders have together developed a national strategy with a clear vision for the life sciences industry in Scotland for the next fifteen years. The aim is to create:
“A globally focused, sustainable life sciences sector built on a fully connected national strategy that exploits the strengths in scientific excellence, financial services and innovative business models and that develops, retains and builds upon Scotland's talents.”
