Our networks

Scotland's specialist networking organisations work together to enhance the life sciences community, by providing a range of co-ordinated services. These include organising networking and training events, making local and global connections to help stimulate collaborations and issuing newsletters that offer a promotional platform for local companies and organisations.

ABPI Scotland

ABPI Scotland is the Scottish office of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) which is the trade association of the pharmaceutical industry which brings together companies in the United Kingdom producing prescription medicines, other organisations involved in pharmaceutical research and development and those with an interest in the pharmaceutical industry operating in the UK.

BioDundee

BioDundee is a partnership between the public, private and academic sectors. Its mission is to build the strength of the life sciences sector in Dundee and Tayside internally through partnership working, networking, knowledge and skills development, and externally promote and position the Dundee life sciences sector to relevant audiences as a centre of world class life science activity.

CONNECT

The primary aim for Connect Scotland is to increase the number of investment deals in Scotland by preparing investment-ready companies, holding investment showcasing events and building a support network of contacts and investors.

GlobalScot

GlobalScot seeks to develop and expand Scotland's standing in the global business community by utilising the talents of leading Scots, and of people with an affinity for Scotland, to establish a worldwide network of individuals who are outstanding in their field. GlobalScots can provide the practical, professional advice that companies need to engage with the global marketplace. Scottish companies draw on this network for advice, contacts, assistance and support.

Nexxus

Nexxus connects, communicates and informs life sciences in Scotland. It promotes and supports research excellence, innovation and knowledge exchange, and its strong network enables it to easily facilitate connections with world leading Scottish Universities and Institutes, potential partner companies and other life science organisations. Through its regular networking events, effective PR and Annual Life Science Awards, Nexxus also helps to raise the profile of life sciences in Scotland within the media, the Scottish Parliament and in the wider business, public and academic communities.

Scottish Bioinformatics Forum

The Scottish Bioinformatics Forum is a comprehensive resource of bioinformatics related activities, research and expertise in Scotland.

Its aim is to enhance knowledge and understanding of bioinformatics technology in both the bioinformatics and life sciences communities. It can provide to access bioinformatics resources and help to find the right partners for projects, from bioinformaticians to traditional biologists.

Scottish Stem Cell Network

The Scottish Stem Cell Network (SSCN) brings together scientists, clinicians, business and society to enable advances in stem cell biology to be rapidly translated to deliver new treatments for degenerative diseases.

Life sciences Scotland Aberdeen

Life Sciences Scotland Aberdeen is a network group for the life sciences community of Aberdeen City and Shire. It provides a dynamic forum for companies, academia and the public sector to meet, exchange ideas and build relationships regionally, nationally and internationally to support the growth of the sector into a robust and sustainable cluster.

The Scottish Life Sciences Association

The Scottish Lifesciences Association (SLA) is the members-based trade association representing companies from the diagnostics, medical devices, contract research and biopharmaceutical sectors. The mission of the SLA is to represent the Scottish life sciences industry to the Scottish Government and its agencies to ensure that policy and support for the industry is maintained and increased.
